Poultices, Compresses, and Plasters External Application of Chinese Herbs with Dr. Benny Lin, L.Ac., DOM
November 19 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
8 CEU’s (California Acupuncture Board Approved), Category 1
This course will help acupuncturists delve more deeply into an effective and time-honored TCM treatment: the external application of herbs. External treatment is a means of applying herbal medicine by compressing it to the skin, which allows for deeper penetration and greater absorption by the body. Though applied externally, poultices, compresses, and plasters can strongly effect the internal state of the patient, regulating the channels and balancing Yin and Yang. There are many advantages to using external herbs in your practice; they are fast acting, safe, convenient and cause few side effects. The art of external application is simple to use and easy to learn.
